Celebrate Recovery
Children's Ministries
Sunday School classes for children Pre-K - 6th grade are offered at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M. each Sunday, as well as an attended nursery for infants - 3 years. Shasta Children's Camp for grades 4-7 is offered each July at Shasta Methodist Camp near Mt. Shasta. Vacation Bible School is offered in July, and the AWANA program is offered during the school year. AWANA @ Aldersgate "Because Kids Matter to God"
Aldersgate United Methodist Church is pleased to offer an AWANA Clubs program. We appreciate the opportunity to share God's word with the children of our community. You and your family are invited to join us.
The goal of AWANA is to reach children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to train them to serve Him. Additionally, our goal at Aldersgate is to provide a structured, safe environment where your child can learn about Jesus, memorize God's word, meet new friends, play games, learn responsibility, and have fun.
AWANA is an acronym from the first letters of the phrase, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," which is taken from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15: "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth."
Our AWANA clubs are:
Cubbies - 3 & 4 year olds
Sparks - K - 2nd grade
T & T - 3rd - 6th grade

Youth Ministries
THE VINE for Jr. and Sr. high school students, meets Wednesday evenings at 5:30 P.M. for dinner, a short Bible study and fun.

Feather Youth Camp is held each summer at Camp Tehama (near Lassen Volcanic National Park) for grades 7-12.

Women's Ministries
Activities for women include an annual retreat, monthly group meetings, prayer teams and the Widow's Group Luncheon. Contact Vikki (893-8640).

Adult Bible Studies
Betty Gibb (892-2402) leads a group each Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in her home.
Worship and Arts Ministries

| Praise Team The
Praise Team is made up of the Praise Band and Worship Team, which
provide contemporary worship music for the weekly 9:00 A.M. service. Here's an audio recording of the team. Experienced singers and band members are always welcome! Contact Clark Minor.   |
The Chancel Choir provides music for the weekly 11:00 A.M. traditional service (except during the summer). Adult singers with choir singing experience are invited to participate. Here's an audio recording of the choir. Contact Clark Minor.
Prayer Group
This intercessory team meets in the church office Tuesday mornings at 8:30 A.M. An email prayer chain is also available. Contact Vikki (893-8640).Salvation Army Outreach
A ministry team helps out at the Salvation Army each month serving a meal to the homeless of our city. Extra hands are welcome. Join us each second Sunday of the month. Contact Vikki (893-8640).
