Dr. Neal Neuenburg - PastorNeal is married to Fran, who is a terrific Bible teacher and pianist. They have three children and two grandsons. He has a doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary. Casey Moreno - Youth DirectorCasey attends Chico State, pursuing a degree in music, with a vision and hope of attending seminary after graduating. He has worked this past year with Chico's Orchard Church and their Wilderness Experience Youth Ministry. His desire is to ensure that his ministry at Aldersgate will be a safe and comfortable place for all teens. He also wants to allow teens the chance to see how God has amazingly gifted each of them and how valuable and loved they are by God. Casey feels blessed to be a part of the family at Aldersgate, and is extremely excited to serve in this difficult, fun, and at times, embarrassing mission of leading our youth closer to God. Email
Kathy Kriewald - Children's Director
Kathy is a graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in Education. She majored in Early Childhood Education and minored in Elementary Education. Postgraduate work includes a course in the Philosophy of Christian Preschool Education. She is a member of the International Association of Christian Early Educators.
Throughout her professional career she has been involved in Christian Education, most recently teaching preschool at Agapeland Christian Preschool in Selah, Washington.
Kathy enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with children. She works diligently with families and staff to insure a safe, fun, creative and caring environment where each child can meet Jesus and grow in His love.
Kathy and her husband, Charlie, both native Nebraskans, (Go Big Red) moved to Northern California from Yakima, Washington at the end of 2007. They have three grown children and three adorable grandchildren. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, reading, traveling, 4-wheeling in the mountains and fishing. Email
Clark Minor - Music Director
Clark has directed church music since 1980, serving churches in Chico, Redding and Paradise. He came on staff in May 2006 and enjoys, in particular, the freedom and spontaneity of the worship at Aldersgate. His passion is for the church to experience the fullness of God's presence through joyful, heartfelt and intimate worship.
He has led worship for conferences and retreats throughout the region. He was a seminar speaker and worship leader for a Wheaton (Illinois) Bible Church conference in 2001 and directed a multi-church worship concert in Chico in 1994. He has directed church choirs throughout the north state and is a published worship song composer. He has directed multiple worship teams, directed seeker-intensive music programs and taught vocal training workshops.
Clark leads the Praise Team, a group of singers and instrumentalists that provides worship music for the contemporary service. He also directs the Chancel Choir for the traditional service and serves as organist for that gathering.
He holds a Master's Degree in music from California State University, Chico and studied piano for over 25 years. He performed as a semiprofessional concert artist from 1980-1992. His classical piano performances, original music on CD and digital photography are all available here. He has taught individual private piano, class piano at Butte Community College, and presently teaches class piano and music fundamentals courses at California State University, Chico. He also performs as an accompanist at CSU, Chico and plays regularly for the Chico Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
His love of the outdoors is reflected in his hobbies: windsurfing, mountain biking, hiking and landscape photography. Email
Vikki Petsche - Administrative Assistant
Vikki has an extensive background in home health care. She enjoys connecting with people in the church. She finds especially rewarding seeing people grow through Bible study and prayer. She also enjoys having a wonderful boss like Pastor Neal.
She has three grown children and loves spending time with her two grandchildren, Shaylee and Samantha. She loves to read just about anything, go for walks in Bidwell Park - especially in the Fall, and travel extensively. Her favorite destinations are Hawaii, England and Greece. Email
